Presented by Carp TV’s Joe Morgan, this DVD is essential viewing for anyone who uses or is thinking of using imitation or plastic baits as they are commonly referred to. The first section filmed at Fryerning Fisheries Essex, is packed with useful tips and tactics and shows how Joe and top carp angler Frank Warwick use plastic baits in their own carp fishing. Topics covered include the Mag-aligner rig, imitation corn, zig rigs and surface baits, flavours, rigs that work, glow in the dark hook baits, imitation pellets and boilies, bait cages and odds and ends.
Despite the tough conditions, the pair manage to catch a few carp in between the banter and Frank’s recollections of memorable captures on plastic baits.
The second part filmed at Carthagena Fisheries on the River Lea at Broxbourne, shows how top all round specialist angler Ian Welch uses plastic maggots and pellets to target river species, with chub over 6lb falling to his tactics. Ian also shows and shares some of his top rigs and tips for specimen bream, tench and crucian carp.
The final section featuring Korda’s Danny Fairbrass, shows some of the rigs and baits that both he and the Korda team have used with devastating results.
